Communicating with Compassion

Are you really listening to others?. Well, we need to more than listen, we need to hear what a person says as well as what they don’t say,,, We need to be able to feel where they are coming from.

Today the 18th of March, there is a course that will be taught at 2 pm EST called Communicating with Compassion which is taught by a gentle man named Uzi. This post is to give you a taste of what he covers to entice you to learn more.

Uzi will probably start the course by saying “what everyone really wants is to be Heard, Understood and Acknowledged”… Easy right? If you think so, try it some time. I have… I then realized how desperately I needed the class.

Because of Uzi, I am learning not to jump on a conversation to quickly so I can help give advice and fix things. Notice the first three things say nothing about advice.

For me the most valuable lesson was to listen without thinking of what you can say to respond. Not easy for a mega-mouth like myself. I thought compassion was helping… Sometimes it is merely listening and being there for someone. I believe you will love this class and benefit from it.

Uzi is right, people need to be truly heard, understood and acknowledge, something that they rarely get from a medical doctor, but, we here at Healthy Chatter. Com want to be communicate with compassion and help others learn to as well..

To join the class, on the 18th at 2 pm EST, go to our calendar of events and click on the class for Uzi’s email. http://www.marysherbs.com/GOTOMEETINGS/UpcomingEducation.shtml

This course could also be taken by anyone, it would be helpful information in communicating with a friend, parent or child.

The first 2 classes are free for everyone. But for me.. I decided to go on… I needed it… and who knows I might even learn to listen to my husband someday. :o)
