Cruciferous Vegetables Do they weaken a hypothyroid?

A budding health advocate wrote… Some say that cruciferous vegetables are good for hypothyroidism and some strictly restrict consume these vegetables. I am confused.what is the exact answer.

My answer?....It depends.... I have a suggestion which may help you. I would avoid all cruciferous vegetables for 2 weeks while taking your temperature every morning before you arise in the morning and keeping a record of it. Then add cruciferous vegetables for 2 weeks in heavy duty amounts, taking your temperature again every morning. Then compare the two. If your temperatures went down at all, it indicates the vegetables were causing a strain on your thyroid. I believe is the best indicator.
